Learner
Drivers FAQ
Common questions other learner drivers ask us
This question entirely depends on what you want to use your licence for or what cars you have access to. Often car lovers and those looking to expand their employment opportunities will go for a manual licence. It provides the most flexibility allowing them to drive any car (when on their open licence). On the other hand, automatics are easier to drive and seem to be the option a lot of students are choosing.
All you need to bring to each lesson is yourself, a valid learners’ permit and your logbook. From there, all you need to do is have fun and learn a lot.
To get a learner’s licence you need to be 16 and have passed a small test. Simply head over to your nearest Department of Transport office and complete the 30-question quiz. We recommend studying up on the road rules before attending, the quiz can be tricky.
You can choose whether you would prefer a male or female instructor when you sign up. We want you to be comfortable with your instructor in order to provide a great, stress-free learning environment.
If you are in Brisbane, Gold Coast, Logan, Redlands, Sunshine Coast, and Ipswich we can certainly provide lessons for you. Simply put your details into the enquiry form and we will get you an instructor in your area.
You certainly can. We understand that each of our learners will have commitments like school, uni, or work during the day. So we can come pick you up when these are done, take you for a lesson, then take you home.
You can book a test online through the QLD Department of Transportation website. They will allow you to pick a date and time that you are available to complete the test.
Book our pre-test package and you can use our car for the test and receive a lesson prior to the test. This is the path we recommend as it provides you with a touch up lesson before you begin the test. However, if you simply want a car for the test, you can book that with us too.
